Project Update
Project Update – March 2026
After numerous meetings with residents, surrounding community associations, and feedback from City Commissioners who voted to advance the project, the development team significantly revised the conceptual master plan to address concerns related to compatibility, intensity, density and buffering. These revisions include eliminating multifamily apartments from the project, reducing residential density, committing to height restrictions, reducing commercial intensity, and providing for landscape buffers and open space connectivity. Resident input has meaningfully shaped the plan and will continue to guide refinements as the project moves forward. Next steps in the process for the project include Broward County review of the land use plan amendment and a second hearing by the City of Margate after Broward County completes their review.
